It's been a while since I updated here.
Up untill now my life has been slow, each day just blended in with the next one. But yesterday changed everything.
Yesterday I finally achieved my final certificate, I'm now a certified TIG pipe welder and I start my first real job monday morning. For me this is a huge step since for as long as I can remember I've hadn't had the slightest clue as to what I wanted to become or what I wanted to do with my life.
As I came home after a week of preparations and exams (getting up at 4 am and travelling 6 hours a day just drained me of any energy I had) I noticed a lot of cardboard boxed standing around the house. I knew my parents were getting a divorce and that my mother planned on moving out together with my brother and sister. But I never really realised how closeby it was. I wasn't informed on the actual moving date since I'm staying behind with my dad. Yet the sight of the boxes and the feeling of this being a bit sudden is giving me some mixed feelings, I'm sort of glad that the gloomy atmosphere that's been hanging around here for the past 10 years is coming to an end, but on the other hand I'm sad that the people I've spent my life with so far are moving out. Things are certainly going to be weird the first few weeks, the people I've seen every day for as long as I can remember will no longer be there. Just me and my dad in a house way too big for 2.
With the whole training thing behind me, no exams to worry about anymore and a lot less activity in the house, I'm planning on drawing more from now on. I've started on a sketch this week but since my only free time was when I was travelling by train, I didn't get a chance to get it beyond a messy paper sketch. (drawing while on a train is a real pain, 'now to draw a straight line' -train shakes heavily- >.< )
I just watched Transformers for the very first time (yeah, I know, finally...) I've heard a lot of good and bad things about it. It's not as bad as some claim it is, I found it a rather good movie, certainly beats the game which I thought sucked like f'ing hell.
Well, guess it'll be a bit lonely for me from now on, so those who got my msn, feel free to contact me for some idle chatter from time to time. That is if I dont forget to sign on

If you dont have my msn contact yet, feel free to ask.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some archeological stuff to do, gotta excavate my wacom, I know it's somewhere here on my desk, but so is a lot of other stuff...
Doomchild out...
